Get started
1. Add the view
On the board you want to sync, click + next to your board views, choose Apps, then Pipedrive Sync. You can rename the view; the sync settings belong to the board.
2. Authorize monday access
The sync runs in the background when Pipedrive changes a deal, so the app needs its own access to the board. Click Authorize monday access and approve. Only users who can edit the board can change sync settings; viewers and guests see the settings read-only.
3. Connect Pipedrive
Click Connect Pipedrive and sign in. Use a Pipedrive admin user: the sync can only see deals that the connecting user can see. One Pipedrive company connects to one monday account, and every board in that account can sync with it.
4. Choose deals and map fields
- Pipelines: leave empty to sync all pipelines, or pick the ones this board should hold.
- Add new deals to group: the group where new items appear.
- Field mapping: each row maps a Pipedrive field to a monday column and sets a direction. The deal title always maps to the item name.
- Add recommended columns creates and maps the usual columns in one click. Existing columns with the same name and type are reused.
Supported column types: text, long text, numbers, status, dropdown, date, people, email, phone, link and checkbox. Stages and won/lost status map to status columns; owners map to people columns by email address; single-option fields map to status or dropdown; multi-option fields map to dropdown.
5. Save and import
Click Save settings. New and changed deals now sync automatically. Click Import existing deals to bring in the deals that already exist in the selected pipelines; deals already on the board are not duplicated.
Options
- Create a Pipedrive deal when a new item is added to this board: new items become deals in the chosen pipeline, starting in its first stage.
- Archive the item when its deal is deleted in Pipedrive: off by default, so deleting a deal never removes work from monday.
- Sync is on / paused: pause a board without losing its settings.
- Write an AI handoff summary when a deal is won (optional, off by default): see below.
AI handoff summary
When a deal is won, the app can write a short brief for the delivery team into a long text column on the item (the recommended column is called “Handoff summary”). It has five parts: the customer and contacts, what was sold, commitments made by sales, open questions and risks, and key dates.
- It is written only from the deal’s fields and its notes in Pipedrive. Every line must point to the note it came from, and the app checks that names, numbers and dates in a line really appear in that note. Lines that fail the check are left out.
- Deals with too few notes are skipped instead of getting a thin summary.
- If notes contradict each other, the newest note wins.
- If someone writes or edits text in the summary column, the app never overwrites it.
- Each deal is summarized once, when it is won. Summarize deals won in the last 30 days fills in recent wins that do not have a summary yet.
- It uses your own Anthropic (Claude) account. A monday account admin creates an API key at console.anthropic.com and pastes it into the view; the app checks it with Anthropic and stores it encrypted, and it is never shown again. Anthropic bills your account directly (typically 1–3 cents per summary). Setting a monthly spend limit in the Anthropic console is a good idea.
- The deal’s fields and notes are sent to Anthropic with your key. See the privacy policy.
Always check important details in Pipedrive: the summary is a starting point for the handoff, not a contract.
Recent activity
The view lists what the sync did recently, including values it had to skip (for example an owner whose email address has no matching monday user, or a stage name that does not exist in the deal’s pipeline).
