Privacy policy: Daywise

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This policy explains what data the app “Daywise: Business Days & Holiday Calendars for Jira” (the app), published by Kayabyte, the trading name of Caner Kaya, Stasjonsveien 64, Oslo, Norway, processes when it is installed on an Atlassian Cloud site.

What the app does

The app lets Jira admins define business calendars (work week, working hours, time zone, public holidays, closures and short days) and uses them in JQL functions, two read-only work item fields, automation steps and a work item panel.

Data the app stores

The app stores its settings in Atlassian Forge hosted storage on the customer’s Atlassian site: calendars, which calendar each project uses (project IDs), the default calendar, the daily refresh settings and the status of the last refresh (time, number of work items, any error).

The app also writes two numbers per work item into its own Jira fields, Business days open and Business days to due date. These values are stored by Jira like any other field value.

The app does not store work item content, account IDs, names, email addresses or any other personal data.

Data the app reads but does not store

To calculate values, the app reads a work item’s creation date, due date, resolution date and project. The admin page reads project names for the project search and whether the person using it is a Jira admin. Automation steps receive the dates and settings configured in the rule. This data is used during processing and is not kept.

Where data is processed

All processing happens on Atlassian’s Forge platform. The app makes no calls to servers outside Atlassian, and no data is sent to Kayabyte or to any third party. Public holiday data is bundled with the app.

Retention and deletion

Settings are kept while the app is installed. When the app is uninstalled, its Forge storage and its fields are removed by Atlassian in line with Atlassian’s Forge data retention rules. Customers can also ask us to confirm deletion by contacting support.

Logs

For troubleshooting, the app writes operational logs on the Forge platform containing error messages, API status codes and endpoint names. These logs are kept by Atlassian under its Forge log retention rules.
