Reads more real bank statement PDFs correctly, including statements with deposits, withdrawals and checks in separate sections, and statements that print “Balance on” a date at the start and end of the period.
A side note such as an amount in an old currency is no longer mistaken for the closing balance.

Beancount and Ledger/hledger exports: when a statement’s totals don’t add up, the file no longer contains a balance check that would stop Beancount or hledger from opening it; a comment explains it instead.
Beancount and Ledger/hledger exports: the opening and closing balance entries now always sit before the first and after the last transaction, also when the statement prints a period that doesn’t cover every line.
Beancount: no “Unused Pad entry” error when the opening balance is zero.

Opens text PDFs, scanned PDFs and images, and CSV files.
Finds the transaction table, shows a preview and lets you fix column roles, date order and signs. Remembers each bank’s layout.
Totals check: opening balance + transactions = closing balance, and the running balance per row when the statement has one.
Exports CSV, Excel, OFX, QFX, QBO, QIF, YNAB, Actual Budget, Lunch Money, Xero, Beancount and Ledger/hledger.
