The download is the full app. The free version converts and checks everything: it reads your statement, shows the table, runs the totals check and lets you fix columns. It exports the first 10 transactions per file. When you subscribe to Balanced Pro, you enter your licence key in the same app and the limit goes away.
System requirements
- A Mac with macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, Apple silicon or Intel.
- A statement as a PDF (text or scanned), an image, or a CSV file.
- No internet connection is needed to convert. The app goes online only for your licence and for updates.
Installing
- Open Balanced.dmg and drag Balanced to the Applications folder.
- Open Balanced from Applications.
Balanced is signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it without a warning about an unidentified developer. macOS may still ask once whether you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. Updates come from inside the app (Balanced, Check for Updates).
Try it on a real statement
Open one of your own statements and look at two things: the preview table, and the totals check at the top. If the table is right and the check passes, the export will be right too; the free version lets you export the first 10 transactions to try your accounting software’s import.
