About Kayabyte

Kayabyte is a software company based in Oslo, Norway. We make focused apps that extend the platforms businesses already work in, such as project tracking, service desk, CRM, website and online store platforms, and native apps for the Mac. Each app solves one specific problem that the platform itself does not.

What we believe

Most teams don’t need another big system. They need the tool they already use to do one more thing well: lock a field after approval, add a fee at checkout, recover a lost note, turn a conversation into a document a lawyer can use. That is the kind of software we build.

• One problem, solved properly. Every product has a single, clear job. We test it hard, on real data, before anyone relies on it.
• Your data stays where it belongs. Our apps work inside the platform you already trust, or on your own device. We collect as little as possible and never sell it.
• Fair, transparent pricing. Prices are on every product page. Most products have a free plan or a free trial.
• Honest guides. Our guides explain the built-in way first, with its limits, and only then where an app helps.

How our apps reach you

• Apps for team and website platforms are installed from the official marketplace of the platform they extend, after that platform has reviewed them. You can remove an app at any time from the platform’s own settings.
• Mac apps are downloaded from kayabyte.dev. They are signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarised by Apple, keep themselves up to date, and do their work offline on your Mac. Direct purchases come with a 30-day refund.

Privacy and data

We are based in Norway, in the European Economic Area, and treat the GDPR as the baseline for every product, wherever our customers are. Each product has its own privacy policy in plain language that says what it reads, what it stores, where it is kept and how to have it deleted. Where an app stores data on our servers, its privacy policy names the services we use to run it.
