Setup guide

Historical Snapshots & Weekly Digest · Install it free · Plans and pricing

1. Install

  1. Open the install link and click Continue to HubSpot.
  2. Pick the HubSpot account. You need to be a Super Admin there, or have App Marketplace access.
  3. Check the access list and click Connect app. Leave contacts and tickets ticked if you want their history (Pro).
  4. Until the app is listed in the HubSpot App Marketplace, HubSpot shows an “unverified app” warning for every new app. Check that the redirect domain is kayabyte.dev, type I accept the risk and click Connect.

HubSpot then opens the app’s home page. The first read of your deals takes a minute for a small account; very large accounts (tens of thousands of deals) can take a few hours, because the app reads in small steps. You can leave the page; it keeps running.

Every new account gets 14 days of Pro, so you can try the Monday digest, contacts and tickets. After that the account moves to Free unless you choose Pro.

2. What the app can access

The app only reads. It never creates, changes or deletes anything in HubSpot.

3. Find your way around

Open the app from Marketplace > Connected apps > Historical Snapshots & Weekly Digest, or from the apps menu.

Points marked with * or noted as estimates were rebuilt from deal history at install.

4. Turn on the Monday digest (Pro)

  1. Open the app settings: Settings > Integrations > Connected apps > Historical Snapshots & Weekly Digest > Settings.
  2. Under Monday digest, switch on Send the Monday digest.
  3. Add the team’s addresses, one per line (up to 20). They must be users of this HubSpot account (people who can own records). Each gets the whole account’s digest.
  4. Optional: switch on Also send each deal owner a digest of their own deals.
  5. Set when a deal counts as stale (default 14 days without activity) and click Save.
  6. Click Send me a preview now to see it in your inbox.

The digest goes out on Mondays from 07:00 in your account’s time zone, from digest@kayabyte.dev, usually within the hour; on busy Mondays it can arrive a few hours later. It covers the week up to Sunday night’s snapshot. Each list shows the 10 largest deals; “new contacts nobody has touched” means created 2 to 14 days ago with no activity, and owner digests list only that owner’s records. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

5. App admins

The user who installs the app is an app admin. Admins can add others under App admins in the settings. Only admins change settings and the plan, use “Refresh now” and export CSV files. Everyone who can open the app sees the account-wide history, including deal names and amounts, whatever their HubSpot record permissions.

6. Disconnect and delete data

In the settings, under Access and data, type DELETE and click Disconnect. The app is uninstalled and everything it stored for the account is deleted at once, except the list of people who unsubscribed from the digest. Uninstalling from Settings > Integrations > Connected apps also works; the data is then normally deleted within an hour. A Pro subscription is cancelled at the end of the paid period when you uninstall.
