Terms of service: Kayabyte apps for Mac
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms apply to the macOS apps provided by Kayabyte, the trading name of Caner Kaya, Stasjonsveien 64, 0771 Oslo, Norway (we, us).
Licence
When you download or buy an app you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it. A personal licence covers one person on up to three Macs they use. You may not resell, rent or redistribute the app or your licence key, or remove its licence checks.
Orders and payment
Direct purchases from kayabyte.dev are processed by our online reseller, which is the Merchant of Record for the order and is named at checkout and on your receipt (Paddle.com or Stripe). The reseller handles payment, sales tax and VAT, invoices and customer service enquiries about the order. Prices are shown at checkout and include tax where it applies. Purchases on the Mac App Store are sold by Apple under Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions; for those purchases the Licensed Application End User License Agreement from Apple also applies.
Trials and updates
A trial or free tier lets you use the app before paying. A paid licence includes updates for one year from the purchase date; after that the version you have keeps working. Updates to direct downloads are delivered inside the app, and you can switch automatic update checks off in the app’s settings.
Refunds
See the refund policy. Direct purchases can be refunded within 30 days.
Your data
The apps work on your Mac and do not send your files or content to us. See the privacy policy.
Availability and support
We aim to answer support requests within one business day, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 Central European Time. We support each app on the current and the two previous major versions of macOS. Apple’s changes to macOS can affect an app; we fix such problems as quickly as we can.
Warranty and liability
The apps are provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; changes do not affect licences you already bought.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the law of the country where you live.
