FAQ

Can the app change my boards?

No. It has no write permission in monday. Dates are changed on the boards, and the roadmap follows.

Does it need the Enterprise plan?

No. monday.com’s portfolio solution is available on Enterprise, and this app is separate from it. Boards you connect to that solution can be sources like any others.

How is this different from a dashboard Gantt widget?

Sources can be whole workspaces and folders, so you don’t connect boards one by one. Items sort by date across boards, you can save a manual order, group by month or quarter, roll up to one bar per project, compare with a baseline, and share with people who have no seat. The Gantt widget has features this app doesn’t, such as dependencies and critical path.

How is this different from PPM apps?

PPM suites plan work: scheduling, dependencies, resources. This app reports on the plans your teams already keep in their boards, and it can’t change them. If you need to schedule from one place, a PPM suite suits you better.

How many boards can it cover?

Up to 500 per roadmap on Business, and 5,000 items per board, 20,000 per roadmap.

How fresh is the data?

When a roadmap opens, the app asks monday which boards changed and reads only those, at most every 45 seconds unless you click Refresh (then every 15 seconds at most). A mirrored date column changes with another board, so those boards are read again at most every 10 minutes. A share page is at most two minutes old on top of that.

Why is a board missing?

It may be left out by your plan, you may not be able to open it, or it may be deleted or archived. The roadmap says how many. A board with no date column or no items is listed by name. If it isn’t mentioned, check the name filter and exclude list.

Why do I see fewer boards than my colleague?

Each person sees only the boards they can open in monday, and that applies to admins too.

What does a baseline cover?

What your plan reads at that moment. If you upgrade later, items that were beyond the old limit show as added.

Does it read subitems?

Not in this version. Items only.

Item names, dates, statuses, board names, any workspace, folder, group or column values the saved view groups by and, unless hidden, owners, for the boards the link’s creator can open. If you choose a baseline, also what moved since then. There’s no login, so treat the link like a document you’d send: anyone who has it can read it. Turn it off or replace it whenever you like. It also stops if its creator leaves the account.

What is stored?

Roadmap settings, the manual order, baselines (item names, IDs and dates), and the connection token, in monday code storage. Everything is deleted on uninstall. See the privacy policy.

How does it affect my monday API limit?

It checks in one call per 100 boards and reads only changed boards, because monday limits API calls per day on every plan. The first load of a large roadmap reads every board once.

Which languages?

English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese, following your monday language. The share page follows the visitor’s browser.
