How to connect Pipedrive and monday.com and keep deals in sync both ways

By Kayabyte

Short answer: The Pipedrive integration for monday.com is one-way, from Pipedrive to monday, and it creates items but does not keep them up to date. For two-way updates you can build Zapier or Make scenarios, one for each direction, and guard them against loops. CSV import and export works for a one-off move. If you want deals and items to stay in sync without maintaining scenarios, Deal Sync for Pipedrive and monday.com does that.

Sales often works in Pipedrive while delivery or operations works in monday. The trouble starts when a deal changes after the item was created. This guide shows what you can do with built-in and no-code tools, and where each one stops. Details were checked on 1 November 2026. Tools change, so check the current pages before you build.

Pipedrive’s integration with monday.com

Pipedrive lists a monday.com integration in its Marketplace. You install it from Pipedrive, then choose when a monday item should be created.

  1. In Pipedrive, open the Marketplace and search for monday.
  2. Click Proceed to Install and connect your monday account.
  3. Choose an automation and map fields to board columns.

According to Pipedrive’s help article, an item can be created when a new organization, person or activity is created, or when a new deal is created in a given pipeline. The article states the sync goes one way, from Pipedrive to monday. It lists a limited set of mappable deal fields: organization, contact person, stage, status, value and owner.

Where it stops:

Zapier

Zapier has both apps. Its Pipedrive triggers include New Deal, Updated Deal and Updated Deal Stage. Its monday.com triggers include New Item in Board, Item Moved to Group and several column-value-change triggers. Actions include Create Item and Update Item on the monday side, and Create Deal and Update Deal on the Pipedrive side.

To sync both ways you build two Zaps:

  1. Trigger: Pipedrive Updated Deal. Action: monday.com Update Item (or Create Item for new deals). Often you add a Find Items step first, to locate the item for the deal.
  2. Trigger: monday.com Any Column Value Changed in Board. Action: Pipedrive Update Deal.

Cost: Zapier counts a task when it successfully completes an action. Triggers and polling do not count. The Free plan includes 100 tasks per month and only two-step Zaps (one trigger, one action). Multi-step Zaps, which you need for the lookup step, start on Professional, listed at $19.99 per month billed annually for 750 tasks. Every deal edit that triggers an action uses tasks, so busy pipelines use them quickly.

Where it stops:

Make

Make works the same way with scenarios. You build one scenario per direction, with a trigger module for each app and modules to search, create or update.

Cost: Make’s pricing page lists 1,000 credits per month on the Free plan. Each module action, such as reading, searching, creating or updating, uses credits. Router and error handler modules do not. A search plus an update for every changed deal means at least two credits per change. We could not confirm paid plan prices or the free plan’s scheduling interval from the pricing page, so check both before you plan around instant updates.

Where it stops: the same as Zapier. Loop protection, deletions, field mapping, duplicates and backfill are all yours to build. Make gives you more control over data handling, for example iterating over rows and mapping values, which helps with stage-to-status translation but adds modules and credits.

CSV import and export by hand

For a one-off move, export deals from Pipedrive as a spreadsheet and import the file into a monday board. Going the other way, export the board and import the rows into Pipedrive. Both products support spreadsheet import and export, but we could not open their current help pages for the exact limits, so check them for file size and field rules.

Where it stops:

Where Deal Sync helps

We make Deal Sync for Pipedrive and monday.com, a monday.com app that keeps Pipedrive deals and a board in sync in both directions. It is not yet in the monday.com marketplace, because the review is pending. Until then you can install it with the direct install link.

Setup is in the app view on a board: authorize monday access, connect Pipedrive with an admin account, pick pipelines, add the recommended columns, save and import. There is a free plan for one board and up to 50 linked deals. Paid plans start at $19 per month, billed through monday.com, and the price is per account, not per user.

FAQ

Does monday.com have a built-in two-way Pipedrive sync? The Pipedrive integration we found is one-way, from Pipedrive to monday. Pipedrive’s help article says so, and it lists automations that create items. For changes to flow back you need a no-code tool or an app.

Can Zapier keep Pipedrive and monday.com in sync both ways? Yes, with two Zaps, one for each direction. You have to prevent loops yourself, and every action uses a task. The Free plan has 100 tasks per month and only two-step Zaps, so lookups need a paid plan.

What happens to monday items when a deal is deleted in Pipedrive? With the Pipedrive integration and with Zapier we found no way to react to a deleted deal. With Deal Sync, the item is archived only if you turn on that option. It is off by default.

How do I avoid duplicate items when syncing? Search for an existing item before creating one, and store the Pipedrive deal ID on the item. By hand, remove rows you already imported before you import again. Deal Sync keeps the link between each deal and its item, so existing deals are not duplicated on import.

Which Pipedrive user should connect? Connect with an admin user. A sync can only see the deals that the connecting user can see, so private deals of other users would be missed otherwise.

Does Deal Sync cost extra for Pipedrive? No. Pipedrive needs no extra subscription for it. Prices are per monday.com account and are billed by monday.com.
