Pet Boarding for Wix
Take online bookings and payments for pet boarding and daycare on your own Wix site: spaces per night or day, prices per pet, drop-off and pick-up times, vaccination records, deposits, and a daily sheet of who arrives, who leaves and who is in your care.
Getting started
- Install Pet Boarding from the Wix App Market. The booking widget is added to your home page.
- In your dashboard, open Apps > Pet Boarding and add a service, for example “Dog boarding” or “Daycare”. The defaults work; set your spaces, price per pet and drop-off times.
- In the Editor, select the booking widget to move it, or choose in its settings which service it shows. Publish your site.
- Make sure your site accepts online payments (Settings > Accept Payments). This needs a Premium plan that includes accepting payments, and a connected payment provider. Pet owners pay through your site’s own checkout.
How a booking works
The pet owner chooses the number of pets, the drop-off and pick-up days (or the daycare days), and the drop-off and pick-up times. The calendar only offers dates with free spaces, and the full price shows before they continue. They add each pet’s name, breed and care notes, upload a vaccination record if you ask for one, accept your terms, and go to your site’s checkout. The spaces are held for 30 minutes while they pay (3 days once an order waits for a manual payment). When the order is placed, the booking is confirmed and shows in Today, Calendar and Bookings, and in Sales > Orders. Wix sends its usual order confirmation email.
With a deposit below 100%, the owner pays the deposit online and the rest at drop-off.
Spaces and prices
- Spaces per night (boarding) or per day (daycare). Pets of one family can share one space (a family suite).
- Price per pet per night or day, or different prices by size (for example small, medium and large dogs), with half-day prices for daycare.
- A discount for each extra pet, a weekend extra, extra charges on peak dates (holidays), a long-stay discount and a late pick-up fee.
- Shortest and longest stay, notice needed, how far ahead owners can book, and days without drop-off or pick-up.
- Close dates or take spaces out on the Calendar for holidays or training days.
Your day
Today lists drop-offs, pick-ups and pets in care for any day, with times, care notes, owner phone numbers and vaccination records, ready to print. Add bookings taken by phone in Bookings, and subscribe to your private calendar link (in Setup) to see bookings in Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar.

FAQ
Does Pet Boarding take payments itself? No. Pet owners pay through your Wix site’s checkout and the payment providers you connected. Pet Boarding never sees card details.
Can I get overbooked? Pet Boarding works to prevent it. Spaces are held while an owner pays, and confirmed bookings and closed dates count against your spaces. If a payment arrives after the hold ran out and the days filled up meanwhile, the booking still confirms and is marked so you can check it.
Where are vaccination records kept? In Pet Boarding’s own database, private to your site. Only your dashboard can open them. They are removed together with the pet’s details two years after the booking.
How do I cancel a booking? Cancel it in Bookings. That frees the spaces, but it doesn’t refund the owner or email them: refund the order in Sales > Orders and let them know.
