Privacy policy: Pickup & Delivery Time Slots

This policy explains what data the Wix app “Pickup & Delivery Time Slots” (the app), published by Kayabyte, the trading name of Caner Kaya, Stasjonsveien 64, 0771 Oslo, Norway (we, us), processes when it is installed on a Wix site. It adds to the privacy policy for Kayabyte apps for Wix, which also applies.

What the app does

The app lets shoppers choose a pickup or delivery time slot in the checkout of a Wix Stores shop. Each slot has a limit on the number of orders. The app holds a slot while the shopper checks out, writes the chosen time into the checkout, checks it when the order is placed, and shows the site owner which orders fall into which slot.

Roles

The site owner is the controller for the data in their Wix site. Kayabyte acts as a processor that handles the data only to offer and count time slots. Wix.com Ltd. hosts the app and its data and is a sub-processor.

Data the app stores

The app stores data in data collections it creates in the site’s own Wix CMS, readable only by the app and the site owner’s dashboard:

• the schedule the site owner sets (opening hours, slot length, limits, blackout dates, which delivery options ask for a time), the site’s time zone and a record of the site’s plan for the app;
• one item per taken seat in a slot;
• one booking per checkout: the chosen slot, its state (held, confirmed, released or placed without a time), the order number after the order is placed, the buyer’s first name (up to 40 characters) and a short text of the items in the order (up to 400 characters).

The app does not store email addresses, phone numbers, delivery addresses, payment details or the buyer’s surname.

Data the app reads but does not store

To check a checkout the app reads the checkout from Wix: its identifier, the delivery option chosen and the number of items. When an order is placed, canceled or refunded it reads the order’s number, status and line items to confirm or release the seats. The chosen time is written by the picker into the checkout’s custom field or note, which then appears on the order in the site’s own Wix dashboard.

Logs

For some requests the app writes a technical log line in Wix’s hosting with the app instance ID and the checkout identifier. Logs contain no names, contact details or cart contents.

Plans and payments

The app reads the site’s plan for the app (free, trial or paid) from Wix to apply the plan limit. Paid plans are sold and billed by Wix. We never receive card details.

Cookies, tracking and third parties

The app sets no cookies on the site and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking services. No data is shared with third parties other than Wix, which hosts the app.

Retention and deletion

Seats and bookings for days that have passed are deleted after 30 days, and held seats that expire are removed. When the app is removed from a site, its stored data for that site is deleted within 30 days. Site owners can ask for deletion at any time at support@kayabyte.dev.
