Privacy policy: Custom Size Price Calculator

This policy explains what data the Wix app “Custom Size Price Calculator” (the app), published by Kayabyte, the trading name of Caner Kaya, Stasjonsveien 64, 0771 Oslo, Norway (we, us), processes when it is installed on a Wix site. It adds to the privacy policy for Kayabyte apps for Wix, which also applies.

What the app does

The app shows a size calculator on Wix Stores product pages. Shoppers type a size, the app works out the price on the server and adds the store product to the shopper’s cart at that price, with the size on the line. At cart and checkout it checks that lines of calculator products carry a price the app worked out.

Roles

The site owner is the controller for the data in their Wix site. Kayabyte acts as a processor that handles the data only to price sizes and check them at checkout. Wix.com Ltd. hosts the app and its data and is a sub-processor.

Data the app stores

The app stores data in data collections it creates in the site’s own Wix CMS, readable only by the app and the site owner’s dashboard:

• the calculators the site owner sets up (products, units, limits, rates, texts) and a record of the site’s plan for the app;
• one record per calculated item added to a cart: the cart and purchase-flow identifiers, the product and option identifiers, the price per item and the sizes the shopper typed.

The app does not store names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses or payment details. Cart records are deleted after 45 days.

Data the app reads but does not store

To price a size the app reads the product’s price, currency and options from Wix Stores. To add the item it reads the shopper’s cart (its identifier, owner identifier and lines) to check the cart belongs to that shopper. At checkout Wix sends the app the lines of the cart or checkout to check.

Logs

Some requests write a technical log line in Wix’s hosting with the app instance ID and the calculator ID. Logs contain no names, contact details or cart contents.

Plans and payments

The app reads the site’s plan for the app (free, trial or paid) from Wix to apply the plan limits. Paid plans are sold and billed by Wix. We never receive card details.

Cookies, tracking and third parties

The app sets no cookies on the site and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking services. No data is shared with third parties other than Wix, which hosts the app.

Retention and deletion

Cart records are deleted after 45 days. Calculators stay until the site owner deletes them. We run no deletion of our own when the app is removed; Wix’s removal dialog says the app’s data is deleted from the site. If you want it deleted, email support@kayabyte.dev before you remove the app.
