Custom Size Price Calculator for Wix Stores
Let shoppers type their size on a Wix Stores product page and pay the right price. Width and height for a banner, length for fabric, length, width and depth for a load of gravel: the price changes as they type, and the real store product goes into the cart at that price with the size printed on the cart, checkout and order. Made for print and sign shops, stickers, fabric and trim, flooring, glass and acrylic cut to size, blinds, wallpaper and timber.
Getting started
- Install Custom Size Price Calculator from the Wix App Market on a site with Wix Stores.
- In Wix Stores, set the product’s price to your price per unit, for example $12 for a price per square meter. Each option (material, finish) can have its own price.
- In your site dashboard, open Price calculators and pick a starting point: Banners & signs (per m²), Fabric by the yard or Flooring per ft². Choose the products and save.
- Installing the app places the calculator under the product options on your product page. Publish your site so shoppers see it. If you don’t see the size boxes on a product with a calculator, click Add to product page in the checklist.
- Open the product on your live site, type a size and add it to the cart.
What shoppers see
A small box under the product options: the size fields with the unit (cm, m, mm, in, ft or yd, and a unit menu if you allow several), the price per item as they type, and a line that explains it, such as “0.72 m² × $18.00 + $8.00 setup”. The store’s own Add to Cart and Buy Now buttons are hidden on that product, so the calculator’s button is the only way to add it. Shoppers can type 1.5 or 1,5. A size outside your limits gets a plain message after they leave the field.
How the price is worked out
- Each side is converted to your price unit. If you round sides up (for example to whole feet), that happens first.
- The sides are multiplied: length, area (m², ft², cm², in², yd², mm²) or volume (m³, ft³, yd³, cm³, in³, liters).
- Your smallest billable size applies, then the size is rounded up to your billing step (for example half yards).
- The size is multiplied by the rate: the product or option price, a fixed rate, or on Pro the rate of the price tier the size falls into.
- Your setup fee is added and your minimum price applies. The result is rounded to the cent (or to whole yen, and so on).
On Pro you can instead write your own formula with up to six fields,
for example a price per letter with a minimum:
max(letters * rate, 20).
The price is calculated again on our server when the item is added, so the number in the browser is never trusted. A checkout check stops any line of a calculator product that was added at the plain store price.

FAQ
Is the real product added, or a copy? The real Wix Stores product and option, at the calculated price. Stock tracking and product sales reports keep working, and the order shows the product as usual with the size lines.
Can a shopper change the price? No. The browser only sends the size. Our server reads your calculator and the product price and works out the price itself. If someone adds the product another way at the plain store price, the cart and checkout show an error on that line and the order can’t be placed until it is removed.
Do coupons and discounts work? Yes. Discounts apply to the calculated price as usual, and the checkout check allows for them.
Which units can shoppers use? cm, m, mm, in, ft and yd. You choose which ones they can pick from; the first is the default and your limits are set in it.
Does it work on the old and new product pages? It is built for both versions of the Wix Stores product page and sits under the product options. We tested it on the current product page; if you use an older layout, check one product on your live site after installing.
Does it change shipping? On Pro you can set a weight per unit (for example 0.4 kg per m²) so weight-based shipping rates see the right weight. Otherwise the product’s own weight is used.
What happens to products when I delete a calculator? They go back to selling at the price set in your store. If that price is your price per unit, change it or give the products a new calculator.
What does the app store? Your calculators, your plan, and for each item added to a cart: the cart and checkout identifiers, the product and option, the price per item and the typed sizes. No names, emails, addresses or payment details. See the privacy policy.
