Stay Direct for Wix
Take direct bookings for your cabins, apartments and holiday rentals on your own Wix site: an availability calendar, nightly prices with seasons and weekends, minimum stays, cleaning fees, deposits, and calendar sync with Airbnb, Booking.com and VRBO.
Getting started
- Install Stay Direct from the Wix App Market. The booking widget is added to your site.
- In your dashboard, open Apps > Stay Direct and add a property: its name, nightly price, guests, shortest stay and how much guests pay when booking.
- In the Editor, select the booking widget and choose which property it shows (or let guests choose). Publish your site.
- Make sure your site accepts online payments (Settings > Accept Payments). This needs a Premium plan that includes accepting payments, and a connected payment provider. Guests pay through your site’s own checkout.
- Optional: under Calendar sync in a property, add your Airbnb, Booking.com or VRBO calendar links, and give those sites your Stay Direct calendar link.
How a booking works
The guest picks dates and the number of guests in the widget and sees the full price: nights, extra guest fees, long-stay discount and cleaning fee. They enter their name and email and go to your site’s checkout. The dates are held for 30 minutes while they pay. When the order is placed, the booking is confirmed and shows up in Bookings and in your Sales > Orders, and Wix sends its usual order confirmation email.
With a deposit below 100%, the guest pays the deposit online and the rest later. Wix shows the remaining amount on the order.
Prices and rules
- Nightly price, and a different price for weekend nights (you choose which nights count)
- Seasons with their own prices and minimum stays, once or every year
- Cleaning fee per stay, extra guest fee per guest per night above the guests included
- Weekly (7+ nights) and monthly (28+ nights) discounts
- Shortest and longest stay, notice before arrival, how far ahead guests can book, allowed check-in days
- Deposit: the share of the total paid when booking
Calendar sync
Stay Direct reads your other calendars (iCal links) about every 15 minutes and blocks the nights booked there. It also gives you a calendar link with your direct bookings and blocked dates for Airbnb, Booking.com and VRBO to read. Nights the other sites block are not sent back, so calendars don’t echo each other.

Every plan includes the booking widget, deposits, seasons and calendar sync. There is no commission on bookings. 14-day free trial, billed by Wix.
FAQ
Does Stay Direct take payments itself? No. Guests pay through your Wix site’s checkout and the payment providers you connected. Stay Direct never sees card details.
Can two guests book the same nights? Stay Direct works to prevent it. Nights are held for 30 minutes while a guest pays, and confirmed bookings, your blocked dates and imported calendars all block the nights. Imported calendars refresh about every 15 minutes, so a booking made on another site in that window can still overlap; the dashboard flags any overlap so you can sort it out.
What if a guest pays after the 30-minute hold? The paid order still confirms the booking. If the nights were taken in the meantime, you’ll see both bookings and can refund one in Sales > Orders.
How do I cancel a booking? Cancel it in Bookings. That frees the nights. Refunds are made in Sales > Orders.
