Hotel & B&B Booking System for Wix

Take room bookings for your hotel, B&B, guesthouse, hostel or small inn on your own Wix site. Set up room types with several identical rooms, offer Bed & breakfast and other rates, and let guests pick dates, see the full price and pay through your site’s checkout. A front-desk view shows who arrives, leaves and stays, and each room has its own calendar link for syncing with Booking.com, Airbnb, VRBO and Google Calendar.

Getting started

  1. Install Hotel & B&B Booking System from the Wix App Market on a site that can take orders (Wix Checkout and Orders are required).
  2. In your site dashboard, open Apps > Hotel & B&B Booking. The first screen asks for your first room type: its name (for example “Double room”), how many rooms of that type you have, how many guests it takes, the price per night, and optionally a breakfast price.
  3. Save it, then open the Preview tab. Pick a check-in and check-out day and continue to try a booking. The booking form opens your site’s checkout in a new tab with the stay as one item.
  4. In the Editor, select the booking widget and choose which room type it shows (or let guests choose). Publish your site.
  5. Set up payments (Settings > Accept Payments). Online payments need a Wix Premium plan that accepts payments, and a connected payment provider. Guests pay through your site’s own checkout.

The dashboard has these tabs:

How a booking works

The guest picks dates and party size in the widget, sees the price for the stay (nights, extras, tourist tax, long-stay discount) and books one or more rooms. They enter their name and email and go to your site’s checkout. The rooms are held for 15 minutes while they pay. When the order is placed the booking is confirmed and shows up in Bookings, in Today on the arrival day and in your Sales > Orders.

With a deposit below 100%, the guest pays the deposit online and the rest later, and the order shows the remaining amount.

Room types and rates

A room type is one kind of room with a number of identical rooms, such as “Double room” with four rooms. Each room can have its own name, so you can tell them apart in the grid and in calendar sync.

Extras and tourist tax

Extras such as breakfast, parking, an airport transfer or an extra bed have a price counted once per stay, per night, per guest, or per guest per night, and can be set as always added. Guests tick the optional ones in the widget and see each as its own line in the price. Extras are counted once per booking, not per room.

Tourist tax can be switched on as its own line: a fixed amount per person per night, per person per stay or per stay, or a percentage of the stay price. You still pay the tax to your municipality yourself; the app only collects and shows it.

Extras and tourist tax are on every plan.

Calendar sync

Each room has its own calendar link, so you can sync with Booking.com, Airbnb, VRBO and Google Calendar in both directions. The app reads your other calendars (iCal links) about every 15 minutes and blocks the nights booked there, and gives you a link with your direct bookings for those sites to read. Nights imported from another site are not sent back out, so calendars don’t echo each other.

This is iCal, not an API connection, and it is not instant. See the limits below, and the guide How to sync your Booking.com and Airbnb calendar with your Wix website.

Plans

The app takes no commission on bookings; payment provider fees and your Wix Premium plan still apply. 14-day free trial, billed by Wix. Taking online payments also needs a Wix Premium plan that accepts payments.

What it does not do

FAQ

Can I use it for a hotel with 20 rooms? Yes, if the rooms fall into room types: for example five room types with four identical rooms each. Pro covers up to 5 room types and Business up to 200. It suits small and mid-sized places; if you need your rates pushed to Booking.com or Expedia automatically, you need a channel manager.

Does it sync with Booking.com? Through iCal links, per room, in both directions. We read your Booking.com link about every 15 minutes; Booking.com reads ours on its own schedule, up to two hours. Booking.com’s own calendar sync has eligibility rules (see above). It does not connect through Booking.com’s API.

How are double bookings avoided? Rooms are held for 15 minutes while a guest pays, and confirmed bookings, blocked dates and imported calendars all block the nights. Because iCal is not instant, a booking made on another site in the minutes before the next read can still overlap. The dashboard flags overlaps so you can sort them out.

Can guests book several rooms? Yes. The guest chooses how many rooms of a type they need, and the booking takes that many of your identical rooms.

Can I charge a deposit? Yes. Set the share of the total paid when booking, up to the full amount. The guest pays the rest later, and Wix shows the remaining amount on the order.

How does breakfast pricing work? Two ways, and you can use both. Offer a Bed & breakfast rate with a price per guest and night next to Room only, or add breakfast as an extra with a price per guest per night.

Which payment methods can guests use? Whatever you have connected to your Wix site’s checkout. The app never sees card details. Online payments need a Wix Premium plan that accepts payments.

What if a guest pays after the 15-minute hold? The paid order still confirms the booking. If the nights were taken in the meantime, you’ll see both bookings and can refund one in Sales > Orders.

How do I cancel a booking? Cancel it in Bookings. That frees the rooms, but it doesn’t refund the guest or email them: refund the order in Sales > Orders and let the guest know.

What happens when I remove the app? The booking widget stops taking bookings and calendar links are no longer imported. Your data is kept for 30 days, so reinstalling within that time restores it, and then it is deleted, as described in the privacy policy.

How is it different from Stay Direct? Stay Direct is for vacation rentals: cabins, apartments and holiday homes where each property is its own listing, like on Airbnb. This app is for room types with several identical rooms, with hotel wording and front-desk views (Today and the room-by-room grid). They share the same booking engine and calendar sync, but are separate apps with separate plans.

How do I get help? Email support@kayabyte.dev. We answer within one business day, Monday to Friday, Central European Time.
