Privacy policy: Wholesale Prices & B2B Groups

This policy explains what data the Wix app “Wholesale Prices & B2B Groups” (the app), published by Kayabyte, the trading name of Caner Kaya, Stasjonsveien 64, 0771 Oslo, Norway (we, us), processes when it is installed on a Wix site. It adds to the privacy policy for Kayabyte apps for Wix, which also applies.

What the app does

The app gives customers with a chosen contact label their own prices in a Wix Stores shop. It creates the site’s own discount rules from the groups the site owner sets up, decides at cart and checkout whether the logged-in buyer belongs to a group, and shows the buyer’s price on the product page.

Roles

The site owner is the controller for the data in their Wix site. Kayabyte acts as a processor that handles the data only to apply group prices. Wix.com Ltd. hosts the app and its data and is a sub-processor.

Data the app stores

The app stores only what the site owner sets up in its dashboard page (group names, on or off state, the contact label keys of each group, pricing lines, minimum order, and the IDs and names of chosen products, categories or collections) and a record of the site’s plan for the app. They are kept in data collections the app creates in the site’s own Wix CMS, readable only by the app and the site owner’s dashboard. A counter of checks that could not be completed is kept for the dashboard notice.

The app does not store personal data of shoppers or site members.

Data the app reads but does not store

When Wix checks a cart, it sends the app the cart details and the buyer’s identifier. The app reads the logged-in buyer’s contact labels (and the member-to-contact link) to decide whether the buyer is in a group, and the cart line items (product ID, quantity and price) for minimum order checks. Labels are held in memory for about 30 seconds to keep checkout fast. On the product page, the app answers only for the logged-in visitor’s own labels. The app does not read or keep the buyer’s name, email, address, phone number or payment details. In the dashboard, “Check a customer” looks up one contact by the email address the site owner types and stores nothing.

Logs

For each check the app writes one technical log line in Wix’s hosting: the app instance ID, where the check came from, the plan, and the time taken. Logs contain no names, contact details or cart contents.

Plans and payments

The app reads the site’s plan for the app (free, trial or paid) from Wix to apply the plan limit. Paid plans are sold and billed by Wix. We never receive card details.

Cookies, tracking and third parties

The app sets no cookies on the site and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking services. No data is shared with third parties other than Wix, which hosts the app.

Retention and deletion

Rules are kept while the app is installed. When the app is removed from a site, its stored rules for that site are deleted within 30 days. Site owners can ask for deletion at any time at support@kayabyte.dev.
