Wix shipping rate apps compared
By Caner Kaya, Kayabyte
Disclosure: I make Shipping Rate Rules, one of the options below. I’ve tried to describe every option fairly, including where mine is not the best choice. Prices, ratings and review counts are copied from each app’s own App Market page (checked 24 Oct 2026). Where a page doesn’t say something, the table says “not stated” instead of guessing.
This page is for Wix Stores owners deciding how to price shipping: Wix’s own rate tables, an app that fetches live carrier rates, or an app that prices shipping by your own rules.
The short answer
- One price, or a price by weight, order value or item count: Wix’s built-in rates do this for free, with up to 30 ranges per table and free shipping above an amount.
- Delivery in your own town by postcode, radius or city: Wix’s built-in local delivery, with up to 50 areas per region.
- You want what the carrier really charges: a live-rate app. Shippo is the most reviewed; UPS, FedEx and USPS apps by Pavel Web Design are cheap if you only use those carriers. US stores also have built-in USPS rates.
- Your own rules that Wix’s tables can’t express: postcode zones for normal shipping, a base price plus a price per kg, “first item plus each additional”, or extras for bulky products. Shipping Rate Rules (mine) or Advanced Shipping Rate Manager.
- Keep Wix’s rates and add a postcode surcharge on top: Postal-zone and low-order delivery surcharges adds it as a fee line instead of changing the rate.

| Shipping Rate Rules (mine, no reviews yet) | Free for 1 shipping option; Pro $9.99 a month, or $8.33 billed yearly | No | Yes, by weight, value or items | Yes, postcode starts and ranges, states, cities | Yes, per kg or lb above a base, first item plus each additional | Hide or offer options by product or category, bulky item extras |
“From $X a month” means the price the App Market shows with yearly billing; monthly billing costs more. Review averages are out of 5. “Not stated” means the App Market page doesn’t mention it; the app may still do it, so ask the developer.
Wix’s own shipping rates
Flat rate, rate by weight, price or quantity
In Shipping, delivery & fulfillment, each region gets one or more rates (overview):
- Flat rate: one price per order, with optional free shipping above an amount. A Charge this rate for each item separately checkbox turns it into a price per item, so $10 for 2 items is $20 (Wix guide).
- Rate by weight: up to 30 weight ranges, with optional free shipping above an order amount (Wix guide).
- Rate by price: up to 30 price ranges; enter 0 in the last range for free shipping (Wix guide).
- Rate by quantity: up to 30 ranges by the number of items (Wix guide).
A region is “a country, a state or province in a country, or a group of countries”. You can’t vary one rate by both weight and price ranges: Wix says “it is not possible to combine shipping rules based on weight with shipping rules based on price” (feature request). Weight ranges with free shipping over an amount do work.
Fits best: most stores. Try these first.
Local delivery by postcode, radius or city
Local delivery uses the same rate types, for an area you define by Radius, Zip / postal codes, a drawn map or Cities, up to 50 local delivery areas per region. Partial postcodes work with an asterisk, such as “M5B*” (Wix guide). It’s built for “courier delivery to a defined area in your city or town”.
Fits best: bakeries, florists and shops delivering locally.
Delivery profiles
Delivery profiles give chosen products their own regions and rates, such as pianos apart from other instruments. When a cart mixes profiles, Wix combines the rates or charges the more expensive one, depending on your setting and on whether the option names match exactly.
Fits best: a few heavy or fragile products that need their own shipping.
Live carrier rates
US stores can add Calculate with USPS for real-time USPS rates. For other carriers, Wix lists apps such as Shippo, ShipStation and Envia, and you can offer them next to your own Wix rates (Wix guide).
Live carrier rate apps
These ask the carrier for a price at checkout, so the shopper pays roughly what the parcel costs you. They need accurate product weights, and most need box sizes too.
- Shippo connects “40+ carriers worldwide including UPS, USPS, and FedEx”, with label printing, tracking and returns. Free up to 30 labels a month; Professional starts at $19 a month. 3.6 from 512 reviews. Its page notes that shipments from outside the US need DHL Express, FedEx or UPS accounts of your own. Fits best: US stores that also want cheap labels.
- UPS Shipping Rates and FedEx, UPS, USPS Rates by Pavel Web Design show live rates in the cart, with a markup or discount, box size, and your own UPS account for negotiated rates. They don’t print labels. From $4 and $9 a month. Fits best: live rates from those carriers, nothing else.
- SafeRates: USPS Shipping Rates gives live USPS rates “with no carrier account”, up to three services with delivery days, and a backup rate if the feed is down. US only, from $24 a month. Fits best: US stores that want USPS only, set up in one click.
- Shipi by Aarsiv Groups covers 15+ carriers, including DHL Express, DPD, PostNord and Canada Post, with labels. From $7.90 a month for 50 shipments. Fits best: carriers such as DPD, PostNord, Aramex or Canada Post that the US-focused apps don’t list.
- Envia is pay as you go with “over 100 carriers”, 3.3 from 247 reviews; check that it’s available in your country. Country-specific apps also exist, such as ClickShip (Canada only) and Posten Bring Shipping (Norway, needs a Mybring account).
Rule-based apps
Advanced Shipping Rate Manager
Advanced Shipping Rate Manager combines live parcel, LTL and freight rates with rules “based on products, variants, weight, dimensions, origin ZIP/postal code, destination”, flat rates, restrictions, surcharges and several warehouse locations. One plan, from $31 a month on an 80% sale until 31 December 2026 (normally $155), 14-day trial. No reviews yet.
Fits best: stores shipping from several warehouses, or freight and LTL alongside parcels.
Postal-zone and low-order delivery surcharges
Postal-zone and low-order delivery surcharges by Lumostera doesn’t replace your shipping rates. It adds a surcharge at checkout when the postcode matches a prefix, or a fee below an order amount, with a waiver above a threshold. Free for 2 rules; Pro from $3.99 a month lists postal zone and region targeting and percentage surcharges. No reviews yet.
Fits best: keeping Wix’s rates and adding a remote-area or small-order charge on top.
Shipping Rate Rules (mine)
Shipping Rate Rules gives a Wix region your own shipping options. Each option is priced by a table of cart weight, cart value or item count, and can add a price per kg or lb above an included weight, “first item plus each additional”, a share of the cart value, free shipping above an amount, and a lowest and highest price. An option can be limited to countries, states or provinces, postcode starts and ranges (UK districts like IV1-IV28 too), or cities, with ready-made lists such as the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Alaska and Hawaii. Per product: hide an option when the cart has chosen products or categories, offer it only for some products, and add extras per item or once per order, like a bulky item fee. Weights in kg, g, lb or oz, and you can test a cart in the dashboard before saving.
You add the app to a region in your Wix shipping settings with a backup rate. Wix shows the backup rate if none of your options fits a cart.
Free: 1 shipping option on at a time, with zones, product rules, price tables, free shipping and 1 product extra. Pro ($9.99 a month, or $8.33 billed yearly, 14-day trial): unlimited options, so standard, express and local together, prices by zone inside one option (add 10 for remote postcodes), and several product extras per option. No reviews yet.
Where it’s not the best fit:
- You want the carrier’s live price. Mine has no live carrier rates and doesn’t price by box size. Use Shippo, the Pavel Web Design apps, Shipi, or Wix’s USPS rates.
- Delivery priced by distance. Mine works by postcode, state and city, not distance. Wix’s local delivery radius is the built-in way.
- Freight, LTL or several warehouses. Advanced Shipping Rate Manager covers these.
- Labels and tracking. Mine only prices shipping. Shippo, Shipi and the carrier apps do labels.
- Your needs fit Wix’s tables. If weight ranges or a flat rate per item already work, you don’t need an app at all.
Fits best: stores that ship by post across a whole country and need postcode zones, a base price plus per kg, or product rules, without live carrier rates.

Whatever you pick
- Give every product a weight. Wix counts a product without one as 0, and every weight-based option above depends on it.
- Keep a fallback. If an app is slow or can’t price a cart, make sure shoppers still see a rate rather than nothing.
- Watch for doubles. A region that keeps its own Wix rates and also has an app shows both at checkout.
- Test real addresses: a nearby postcode, a remote one, and another country.

FAQ
What’s the best free shipping setup on Wix? Wix’s built-in rates. A flat rate, rate by weight, price or quantity, and local delivery all come with Wix Stores. Add an app only for a rule they can’t express.
Can Wix charge shipping by postcode? For local delivery, yes, with full or partial postcodes. For normal shipping, regions go down to country, state or province. Apps such as Shipping Rate Rules, or a postcode surcharge app, cover postcode zones.
Can I charge “first item 5, each extra item 2”? With Wix’s rate by quantity you write it out as ranges (1 item 5, 2 items 7 and so on, up to 30 ranges). Shipping Rate Rules has it as one setting.
Does Wix show live UPS or FedEx rates? USPS is built in for US stores. For UPS, FedEx, DHL and others, use an app such as Shippo, UPS Shipping Rates or FedEx, UPS, USPS Rates.
