Does Wix sync inventory with Square? It depends on which kind of site you have

Short answer: Wix documents inventory sync for one setup: a site created for a Square POS shop, where Square is the master for products and stock. For a Wix Stores catalog you already built in Wix, I found no built-in two-way sync with Square. Wix’s own page for Wix POS says sales made in the Square app don’t change stock. For that case you need an app or a manual routine.
The question
Merchants ask this in the Square Community with titles like Wix and Square inventory sync? and How to connect Wix and Square to sync inventory?. I could not read those threads’ text, so I use only their titles here. The answers below come from Wix’s help pages, read on 5 November 2026.
What Wix documents
1. A site made for a Square POS shop (Square is the master). Wix’s article on creating a site for your Square POS shop says inventory is synced between Square and Wix, and a sale in either place reduces the count in both (Wix guide). The conditions Wix lists:
- You install Wix from Square’s App Marketplace, which links the accounts.
- Each item you want online has the “Sell Online (Wix)” attribute turned on in Square’s item library.
- Product names, images, options, prices, inventory quantities and modifiers are managed in Square. Wix manages design, shipping, online categories, videos, info sections, SEO and ribbons.
- You can’t change Square-managed items such as name, price or inventory from Wix. Stock can only be adjusted by hand in the Square dashboard.
- Square categories aren’t copied to Wix, so you create online categories in Wix.
2. A Wix Stores catalog and Square as a separate POS. Wix’s page on managing inventory for mobile POS sales says sales on the Wix mobile app update stock automatically, but sales in the Square app don’t change inventory in Wix. It points to a third-party app for real-time sync (Wix guide).

Options for an existing Wix Stores catalog
- Update both by hand after each sale. Fine for a few items.
- Export and import spreadsheets. An import overwrites counts, so a sale between export and import is lost. It suits a first upload, not daily stock.
- An app that syncs sales as they happen. Choose one that applies each sale as a change in count, not a copy of the whole number, so two sales at once are both counted.
- Move to the Square-first setup if you are willing to manage products in Square and rebuild the Wix site around that catalog.
An app for an existing Wix Stores catalog (mine)
Full disclosure: I make Inventory Sync for Square. It links items between your Square location and your Wix Stores catalog, matching by SKU and letting you link the rest by hand.
