Can Wix Hotels by HotelRunner import an iCal calendar from Beds24 or Airbnb?

Short answer: No. As far as Wix documents it, Wix Hotels by HotelRunner only sends its availability out by iCal. It doesn’t read another calendar back in, so Beds24, Airbnb or Booking.com bookings are not pulled into it. If another system is your master calendar, the options are to book through that system, move the channels to HotelRunner, or use a booking app that reads iCal links.

The question

A hotel owner posted on the Wix forum in January 2026. Their channel manager, Beds24, has both iCal import and export. They found that Wix Hotels by HotelRunner offered only export, so room availability could go from Wix out to other channels but not come back. They said the HotelRunner team, contacted through Wix support, confirmed that only iCal export is possible, and asked whether custom code could add import (forum thread). No answer in the thread solves it with code.

What Wix documents

• The connection is one way. For HotelRunner’s iCal channel, Wix says your Wix Hotels by HotelRunner calendar sends availability out and the sync does not run the other way. You copy an “Export URL” for each room type into the other platform’s iCal settings (Wix guide).
• You add outside bookings by hand. Reservations from iCal channels must be entered in your Wix calendar manually. Rates and restrictions are managed in the other platform’s extranet.
• Google Calendar can’t be connected this way, according to the same page.
• Airbnb is the same. Wix describes its Airbnb iCal link as one-way, says no data is received from Airbnb, and says rates and reservations do not sync. A Premium plan is needed (Wix guide).
• How many iCal channels you can connect depends on your site’s premium plan.
• The older Wix Hotels app had an iCal import feature. Wix’s page says it belongs to that original app, not the HotelRunner version.

1. Make one system the master. If Beds24 is your channel manager, put its booking engine on your Wix site (an embed) so every channel, including your website, books into Beds24. Nothing needs importing into Wix.
2. Use HotelRunner as the channel manager. It is built into Wix Hotels. That means moving your channel connections from Beds24 to it, which is worth it only if you stop using one of them.
3. A booking app that reads iCal. It replaces the Wix Hotels booking flow instead of adding import to it.

Limits to know first:

• It is not a channel manager. It exchanges dates only. It doesn’t push rates or descriptions to Booking.com or Expedia.
• There is a delay. Your link is read by Airbnb, Booking.com or Beds24 on their schedule, so a booking made on another channel can overlap with a direct one in the minutes between reads.
• Imported nights are not sent back out, so calendars don’t echo each other.
• The free plans sync one calendar per site. Paid plans sync every calendar. Online payments need a Wix Premium plan.
• It replaces your Wix Hotels booking flow, so you’d move the room setup across.
