Bulk Property Import & Export

Install from the HubSpot Marketplace · Setup guide · Plans and pricing
Bulk Property Import & Export creates hundreds of HubSpot properties from one CSV or Google Sheet, copies them between accounts and exports them. It is a HubSpot app for admins, RevOps teams and agencies setting up or migrating accounts, and it works on every HubSpot plan, including Free and Starter, using property settings access only (never your records). Free plan for import, export and preview; Pro is USD 19 per month per HubSpot account; Agency is USD 49 per month for unlimited client accounts. Every new account gets a 14-day Pro trial, no card needed. It does not import records or property values, workflows, forms or pipelines.
Create or update hundreds of HubSpot properties, with their groups, dropdown options and exact internal values, from one CSV file or Google Sheet, and see a preview of the whole batch before anything is written. Copy a standard property set into any client account, on any HubSpot plan, with a diff first and a re-sync later. Keep a history of property settings changes, also on Free and Starter accounts, which have no audit log for them.
Bulk Property Import & Export is an app for HubSpot by Kayabyte. It uses property settings access only: it never reads or changes contact, company or deal records.
What HubSpot already does, and where this app fits
HubSpot lets you create properties one at a time (in the property editor, during an import, or by asking the data agent or Breeze Assistant), paste a list of options into one dropdown with Load options, and export all property definitions with their options. Professional and Enterprise accounts have an audit log of property updates for the last 30 days, and Enterprise accounts can copy properties to their own sandbox. Use those for small jobs. This app is for the jobs they don’t cover: many properties in one reviewed step, copying a property set between unrelated accounts, and a longer, option-level history with restore.
What it does
- Hundreds of properties from one sheet. One row per property: object, internal name, label, type, group and options, with “Label|value” when an option needs a specific internal value. Create new properties and groups, add options to existing dropdowns, relabel options, or replace a list exactly. Works for contacts, companies and deals.
- Preview of the whole batch. Every import starts as a dry run that lists what will be created, updated or left unchanged, with a message for each row that has a problem, such as an invalid internal name, a type that does not match, a duplicate option or HubSpot’s limit of 5,000 options. Nothing is written until you click Apply.
- Results report. After the import, a report shows which rows were applied and why any row failed, with HubSpot’s own error message.
- Copy a property set to any client account. Link two accounts where the app is installed and copy properties, groups and options from a template account to a client account on any HubSpot plan, with a diff first. Run it again later to bring the accounts back in step. Nothing in the target account is removed unless you tick the option to do so. HubSpot’s sandboxes copy only to an Enterprise account’s own sandbox, and its multi-account and partner copy tools bring properties along only as part of custom objects or assets such as workflows and forms. (Pro)
- Property change history on every plan. Every night, and right after each import, the app compares all property definitions with the last check and lists properties and options that were added, changed or archived, down to which options were added, removed or relabeled, with the HubSpot user ID when HubSpot provides it, or the person who applied the change with the app. Free shows 30 days. Pro keeps 12 months, sends a weekly email digest and can restore a property’s previous definition, on Free and Starter accounts as well as Professional and Enterprise.
- An export you can import again. Download all objects, groups and properties as CSV or JSON, with option labels and internal values, in the same columns as the import, so you can edit the file and import it again here or into another account. HubSpot’s own property export is good for documentation but has no import.
Where your data comes from
- Paste CSV text or rows copied from Excel or Google Sheets (commas, semicolons and tabs all work).
- Upload a CSV file of up to 5 MB.
- Link a Google Sheet that is shared as “Anyone with the link can view”.
Download the CSV template to see the columns.

FAQ
Can I bulk create custom properties in HubSpot? How do I copy custom properties from one HubSpot account to another? HubSpot’s sandboxes and multi-account tools cover only some cases (see the guide); Bulk Property Import & Export copies properties, groups and options between linked accounts on any HubSpot plan with a diff first, as a Pro feature.
How do I export all HubSpot properties with their dropdown options? In HubSpot go to Settings > Properties > Export all properties (guide); the app exports the same setup as CSV or JSON with option labels and internal values, in a format it can import again.
