Shipping Rate Rules for Wix
Build your own shipping options for Wix Stores. Price them by cart weight, cart value or number of items, offer them only in the countries, regions and postcodes you choose, and make shipping free above an amount you set.
Getting started
- Install Shipping Rate Rules from the Wix App Market on a site with Wix Stores.
- In your site dashboard, open Apps > Shipping Rate Rules. Click Add example option or Create option.
- Go to Settings > Shipping, delivery & fulfillment, open a region, click Manage Your Apps, select Shipping Rate Rules and set a backup rate. Wix only asks the app for rates in regions where you add it.
- If the app’s options should replace that region’s own Wix rates, delete those rates. Otherwise shoppers see both.
What an option can do
- Name and delivery time shown to shoppers in the cart and at checkout.
- Where: countries, states or regions (short codes like CA or ON) and postcodes (a start like “NW1” or a range like “0150-0199”).
- When: a cart weight, cart value or item range, and categories that hide the option, such as no express shipping for furniture.
- Price: one price, or a table by cart weight, cart value or number of items.
- Extras: a price per kg or lb above an included weight, a price per item above included items, a share of the cart value, an extra per item from chosen categories, free shipping above a cart value, and a lowest and highest price.
- Test a cart: enter a country, weight, value and item count in the editor to see the price, or the reason the option is not offered.
Weights come from your product settings. Products without a weight count as 0.
If no option fits
When none of your options fits a cart or address, Wix shows the backup rate you set in the region. If the app cannot answer in time, Wix also uses the backup rate, so shoppers can always check out.
Plans
- Free: 1 shipping option on at a time.
- Pro: unlimited options. $9.99 per month, or $8.33 per month billed yearly, with a 14-day free trial. Billed by Wix.
FAQ
Does the app get live carrier rates? No. You set the prices. The app does not connect to carriers and does not price by distance or package size.
Which weight unit is used? Each option has its own unit (kg, g, lb or oz). Product weights are converted from your store’s unit automatically.
What is “cart value”? The price of the shippable items after product discounts, before shipping, tax and coupons.
What happens if I remove the app? Wix stops offering its options. Set up the region’s own rates first. The app’s stored options are deleted within 30 days, as described in the privacy policy.
How do I get help? Email support@kayabyte.dev. We answer within one business day, Monday to Friday, Central European Time.
